May's Beach Wednesday 21st November 2018
It rained quite heavily overnight (the appropriate time for rain in my opinion) and I checked the mountain for a clue as to the rest of the day...
Is this optimistic or threatening?
A tiny patch of blue has appeared in the sky by the time we had gathered at the end of Forest Hill Road.
And set off through the overgrown dunes
Evidence of rain on the sheoak needles, catching the light and making little rainbows
This looks like native clematis
Lots to distract us as we progress
To reach the coast
Some parts were a bit rugged
But the beach was worth the effort
We ambled along it
To the turnaround point with its geological features
Then we wandered back again
Found this huge crab lost on the sand
but in perspective...much less threatening.
There was once an apple shed and jetty here
Retracing our footsteps
No sun, but no rain or wind either.
