Directions and hints Park in the school grounds,
or roadside. Cross the playing fields
diagonally, keeping to the left of the tree. Pass through a gate and turn
right along the track beside the Rivulet. Turn left and right to keep the
Rivulet on your left. Further on take a left over a small rock bridge and
cross Goodwin’s Road at the crossing. Continue until you come out on Meehan
Road. Go left, then left into Dart Lane, left into Emerald Drive and back onto
Goodwin’s Road. Return along the Rivulet but this time bear left and enter
the school grounds on your right to walk in front to the buildings and back
to the cars. |

Directions and hints Do a loop of Cascade Garden
especially in autumn. It is often possible to go up the steps behind the
toilet block and do a loop above the gardens. After this follow the
Rivulet downstream via Degraves St. the Female Factory and into Hobart Linear Park. At one point there is a
left hand option to go up and over a hill, returning to join the original
track at South Hobart School. The track will now take you as far as Molle St
via McKellar St and the Korean Memorial. At Molle St you can get coffee at
Hamlet before returning.

Directions and hints
Go down to the start of the
track past the sign. Continue gently downhill until you reach the main Fire
Trail. You can cross this and take a small loop back onto itself, or simply
go up the fire trail and follow it back uphill. You will come to a gate onto
Mount Nelson Road and so to the Signal Station. |

Directions and hints Take the Truganini Track
until you reach a right hand uphill turn off. Take this and go around the
hillside until you come to the road. Go up the road to the Dorney House for a
look around and to get the best views of the City. Return the same way or take
Smugglers Way, which is a bit steep in parts and slippery after rain. There
is a signed entrance to the track on the road which you came up. |

Hints and directions
Park in the sports oval and
go around the outside, keeping left. You will come to Racecourse
Flats and go around as far as a Y shaped junction. Go left between the houses
to leave the Flats and then right on Bayview St. Enter the beach at any of
the lefthand access points and walk back towards Lauderdale. Leave on the
ramp by the old jetty ruins. Go along the canal and turn
left onto the Highway. The end is two blocks
along.

Directions and hints Start by going down the
road to the Ridgeway Dam gate. Take the uphill path to the right. Follow this
and bearing left as the trail runs out. From here you will join a main trail
back to the gate, cross the road and take the left hand uphill track which will
return you to the start point. |

Directions and hints
From the car park, go down
to the water side and continue in an anticlockwise to the head of the dam. Continue on the track or
for an interesting, but slightly hilly option, as you head back look for a
gravel access road on the right. Go up it and through a gate onto another
gravel path. Turn left and go through
the bush until you are nearly back to the start where you will see a grassy
path leading off to the left. This will take you to the dam wall and car
park.

Walk 1. This is an undulating
track, a bit rough in parts but generally easy. Pleasant bush scenery and
glimpses of the river. The entrance to the walk is
on the left as you go into the park. Follow this until you reach North West
Bay River and turn left. Continue until you reach the road. Return the same
way.
Walk 2. This is only accessible at
low water level as there are two river crossings. It is shallow and there are
rocks but they are not stepping stones.

Directions and hints
Go to the end of the beach and find the
track leading along the coast, follow it until you reach the dog park. There
is a marked bush track on the other side, keep going until you see a little
bridge which takes you across the valley and back the way you came. At the top of the rise
there is access to Suncoast Drive, cross the road and return via a laneway
between beside number 72, then to 29 Tahune Crescent where another lane goes
to Seacrest Avenue. At the bottom of Seacrest cross onto a grass area and
another lane back to Blackman’s Bay Beach, via Flowerpot Crescent. |

Directions and hints
Go to the end of Cleve
Court and between number 17 and 20 to the shore. Follow this as far as you
like. There are toilets when you meet Tranmere Road. The Foreshore Trail
continues along the roadside to Pindos Park.
The track continues for several kilometres, a loop of the park takes 10
minutes. Return the same way. Consider taking a short detour to a beach for
intriguing rock formations and pools. Take a right turn onto the road at the
end.

Directions and hints
Go down to the creek, turn left and follow
the path as far as the fork where a right turn takes you to Summerleas Road.
Go right, up the road and take the left turn to Gormley Drive. On the left
you will come to a grassy track which goes behind the community garden and
dog park to Spring Farm. Go down O’Connors Drive and Spring Farm Road and
turn left on the track beside Southern Outlet. When you come to Summerleas
Road, cross it and take Whitewater Track back to Kingston Park.

Directions and hints Due to parking woes
on Romilly Street we will park at the Waterworks Reserve entrance and walk
down the Pipeline to Romilly Street and return, then there are options for
Strollers to take a shorter circuit and Ramblers to go anticlockwise around
the two dams. Meeting up again at
the cars. |

Directions and hints Take the track behind the
Mens Shed around to Engelfield Road, go up to the junction and left onto
Frosts Road which becomes Hickmans Rd,
go along until you see a sign on the left and a track leading uphill. At the top
of the hill, bear right past the trig point and descend quite steeply to a
gravel road. Take the right hand track past the house and onwards downhill to
Barretta. Keep left and continue through the bush until you meet the corner
of Channel Hwy and the tip. Go along the road looking for a sign and left
turn up a grassy track back to the Mens Shed.
To avoid the hill continue
on Frosts Road when it veers left off Hickmans Rd. |

Directions and hints Take the track past the lookouts, keep right, detour via the frog bog. Look for a gravel track going uphill, Summit Loop. Take the left option at the
cairn. When descending take the righthand fork or you will be on a steep fire
trail, not suitable for walking. Turn right at the bottom of the hill and
return to the start.
