There were 13 Ramblers. Lunch was at Oyster Bay Tavern

Or more correctly (not) The Arch,

or Archless Bruny Island.

It was a pleasant day and the tide was low but an onshore wind and big swell meant that the bay with The Arch was inaccessible

Setting off from our parking spot on main Road.

Take the right turn

Onto the beach and looking out onto Adventure Bay. We were advised by parks and fire department staff (in high vis) that the rocks were being swamped by waves. 

We made our way via crevices and caves as far as we could. 

Oops! Wet feet anyone?

And though we tried we found the rocks to be impassable

Reluctantly we turned back to enjoy the rock cliffs and choose a spot for lunch

Weather looked a bit ominous as we did the return walk but the showers didn't reach us.
