Alum Cliffs

 Alum Cliffs

A beautiful sunny 20C day for the walk along the cliffs as far as the picnic shelter with a glimpse of the Shot Tower. Spring flowers showing up too.

Meeting at Brown's River

The first climb (of many), zig zagging up behind the beach

A rest with great views across to South Arm

Whose home is this?

Blue Love Creeper (Comesperma volubile)

Nearing our destination

Sylvia got there first

The Shot Tower across the valley

The walk back

We could hear the pink robin calling but no sighting

Forget-me-nots

Native clematis (Clematis gentianoides)

Some of us chose the beach option to return

There were 17 Ramblers. Lunch was at Robbie Brown's.

Thanks for the crème brulees go to Jay

Single Hill

 Single Hill

Today's walk was a repeat of a previous attempt where we were thwarted by bad weather and other mishaps.

Today went smoothly as we navigated various sections of Tangara Trail around Single Hill and back to the start via a mob of wallabies.

Starting from Nowra Road

A new bridge since our last walk.

Having crossed Axiom Way

Some interesting sights along the way.

Black Peppermint Track

Yay!

We have come up through the bush and have stopped for a Lolly Break

Onwards and upwards after recrossing Axiom Way

Around the side of Single Hill to see the views on the other side

Wallaby Central

Down the other side, quite steeply

Our destination is in sight

There were 16 Ramblers. Lunch was at Foreshore Tavern, Lauderdale
