Steps Cove

Steps Cove

(last walked on 7th February 2018)

We met in Manuka Road at the Ferry View entrance to the D'Meure Track.
As it was low tide we could go along the shore before climbing into the bush for a scenic walk to Steps Cove, or further to "Point Douglas"!

Kettering harbour

These two got tanked

Looking across to Bruny Island, possibly Roberts Point

The new Bruny Island Ferry

The seaweed looked very interesting

Down the steps into Steps Cove where I got lots of action shots and Jo kindly opened the lolly box.

 Yay!!

Take your pick, but no sugar free today

Back up the steps to continue or return

 Approaching "Point Douglas"

The view from the point

The return walk

Is this the amphibious vehicle on its way?

Return to the beach

There were 18 Ramblers. Lunch at The Oyster Cove Inn (where they don't take bookings...but they did)

Maps
one way only

This is just the return journey from "Point Douglas" to the cars.
The grey is the up and down, from 14m below sea level to 15m above (not sure where this info comes from unless sea levels have risen a lot!)
