The Arch, Bruny Island

 The Arch, Bruny Island

A short delay while we made our various ways to the start at the Cape Queen Elizabeth Trailhead. Then a straightforward walk to Miles Beach, a scuttle around the rocks at (nearly) low tide to find the Arch.

Passing Manuka Hills and the other ferry.

Setting off down the track

Big Lagoon

and a welcome lolly break!

Little Lagoon, dry as usual

There are several New Holland Honeyeaters flitting about in the shrub.

We chose the low tide route

Approaching Miles Beach.

with Mars Bluff rising on our left.

Viewing the rock formations that make up Mars Bluff

This is the way we go.

A bit of nifty footwork to get around these rocks between the waves.

Fluted Cape across the bay

Young Pacific Gull

We found The Arch

Where is she off to?

going for a swim!

Looking across to Cape Queen Elizabeth

Is it a seal, no it's Fran

We return by the same route

Our ferry arrives

Bubbles checking on her house, the umbrellas are still there

This was our spot for the return trip, squeezed in beside some poles.

There were 10 Ramblers, we took our own food (if we remembered to get it out of the fridge!)
