Knocklofty

 Knocklofty Bushland Reserve

It was a dreary drizzly day for our walk on the lower slopes of the reserve today, but the actual rain stayed away.

Meeting at the car park before setting off in a southerly direction.

Onto and down Forest Road

Back into the Reserve

Sorry about the steps, there were quite a few.

What are they looking at?

Beetles!

Views over Hobart and the Derwent River

More steps! But then onto the level for the rest of the walk

Someone enjoys the wet!

We reach the northern end of our route today, nearly to Mount Stuart

Finding the secret sign for the turn off into the bush!

Kangaroo Apple (Solanum aviculare), edible when orange and ripe.

Wrest Point from the Knocklofty Terrace entrance

Reflection Pool

A horrible but unavoidable little scramble

Around the Frog Ponds (too overgrown with grasses to be seen)

The last stretch past the John Glover information panel and "view" down the valley

What is he looking at?

Brush Bronzewing (Phaps elegans)

There were 15 Ramblers. Lunch was at Smolt Kitchen
