Cape Deslacs

 Cape Deslacs

A seal was resting at the Yacht club while it moulted, "surrounded by orange cones with a traffic hazard warning. Cute😊"

***

We met in the car park at the start of the Cape Deslacs Track, and after a short road section we set off through the bush

The first of the views along the coast

Negotiating the stile!

Onto the cliff top

The view across to Clifton Beach to the west.

Looking east...

...looking west.

Windows in the rocks

The return via the mutton bird rookery (currently uninhabited)

Looking at Clifton Beach from the rookery

The Lookout

Heading down to the beach

On the beach

The path into the dunes has been washed away so there was a bit of scrambling and shoving to get us all up.

The lower limbs have been cleverly supported with forked branches

There were 13 Ramblers, lunch was at Angie Sue
