Sherwood Hill Wednesday 29th August 2018

Sherwood Hill Wednesday 29th August 2018

A bush walk, up a steep and rocky track through tall trees and with puddles underfoot. Then a wander back through shrubs in flower.

We assembled for a group photo.

Off we go

The entrance to Sherwood Hill Conservation area.

Big trees!

Misty views

The track, at one of its calmer sections.

Some of the puddles were quite large...

and agility was required

Thirsty work.

Still going up

To a pond where we search for the turn off. Ponds like this were created after the 1967 bushfires to assist firefighters.

And set off into the wildflower section of the walk

Still misty but some sun coming through in places

Then return downhill

A good walk, challenging in places,  but the weather was perfect for walking.

So...to lunch, the honeycomb waffles! Spectacular! and then there were these.
