Coningham Nature Recreation Area
At low tide we set off northwards towards the rock cliffs before heading inland and uphill in the reserve.
Assembling in the car park.
Tas is showing us the way today
Wandering through the coastal vegetation
Onto the beach in a little bay
The view of the mountain known as Sleeping Beauty
We were captivated by the rock formations and geology
Until we noticed life in the pools and under the rocks
And...leaving the shoreline
Across the road and into the Reserve which we share with cyclists (none in evidence today)
Watched by curious locals
We needed to stop and shed layers of clothing
before continuing on along the fire trail
To exit the Reserve and make our way towards the coast
Then back along the cliff track...
...onto Coningham beach...
...to the cars
Bonding
And so..to lunch, shared with a seagull and a few wasps!
