Middleton History Walk
Today we travelled to Middleton for a history talk followed by a walk around the sites of significance in the township.
Tom planned and arranged today, including this welcome introduction.
The Community Hall was relocated here from a previous location near the boat ramp where it tended to flood.
Starting from the end of McDowalls Road.
Some art works entertained us on our way.
Opposite the General Store is a memorial to the 1967 bushfires.

Once used to ship strawberries and raspberries for processing in Hobart,
Slip Cottages to house the workers of the nearby shipyard. Now home to a friendly pig and sheep.
From here we retraced our steps and headed up Oates Rd
