Natone Hill Wednesday 10th Ocober 2018

Natone Hill Wednesday 10th Ocober 2018

About 27 people gathered at Geilston Bay for circuit of Natone Hill, following a variety of tracks, trails and pathways.

Assembling, trying to establish lunch arrangements and feeling the cold!

It was lovely to have four "returned from overseas" walkers. Great to have you back. I'm sorry that today Hobart decided to return to winter with overcast skies and very chilly temperature.

We are on our way, looking for a hill to climb so we can warm up.

Up we go onto the hill

Some local flora

The bush circuit, while others took the easier road option.

Lovely views over  Lindisfarne

someone tell me what this is and I'll edit!!
Thank you Tas. He and Marcus had a discussion, mostly in latin, for quite a few minutes and the consensus is Tetratheca pilosa
also known as Black-eyed Susan.
It was very pretty with lots of pale purple bell flowers.

We reach the shore

Some coastal vistas

Spectacular bush in a garden

Sheoaks beside the track

Nearing Geilston Bay and the sun has come out. It is now a balmy 14C.
