Nierinna Creek Track Wednesday 17th October 2018

Nierinna Creek Track Wednesday 17th October 2018

More flowers than you could poke a stick at...

That was one highlight of the walk, the other was the weather which threatened to be wet and stormy (and later in the afternoon it was) but it stayed overcast but dry and warm for our walks. Multiple walks.  Some started at the top and did a one way down, others went uphill one way (there were some key exchanges happening mid way) and others went  uphill or downhill to the steps and returned to their own starting point. Amazingly we  made it to lunch though some were on foot all the way there.

This group started from the upper section of the track

An artistic bit of tree

We made our way through bush and ferns, with several tall trees providing a canopy.

Leading from behind

Who has been scurrying through here? Numerous tunnels through the vegetation. Pademelons?

An interesting bit of tree trunk

Here is the "one way downhill" team

Crossing Perrins Road

Lunch at Brookfields. It opened for lunches a couple of weeks ago, after floods swept all the interior down river in the storms in May.
