Bellerive Beaches

 Bellerive and Howrah Beaches

Low cloud and smoke from forestry burn offs combined to make today misty and blurry. But some people are happy to be here.

Yay!

We set off from Bellerive Beach Park

What is so interesting?

Someone found a lost card.

Onto the beach

kunanyi Mount Wellington is only just visible

Second Bluff in the distance

Up the steps onto the bluff...

...where we stop for a lolly break

Darwin's Trail, he was here in 1836. Possibly on his 27th birthday.

A recent rock fall

Our destination... Howrah Beach

An old rock fall at the western end of Howrah Beach

Not much of a view

A few people made it as far as Little Howrah Beach, conveniently.

Others returned via Wentworth Park

The old steps from Howrah Beach onto Second Bluff

Gadget for fishing boats

Views down into the sea from Second Bluff

Onto Bellerive Beach

Interesting name on this little boat

There were 15 Ramblers. Lunch was at the Waterfront Hotel
