Manuka Hill or Trial Bay
(Last walked 9th May 2018 and 1st August 2018 respectively)
A choice of a hill or a coast walk today.
Gathering at Kettering before setting off in opposite directions.
Manuka Hill group set off up Manuka Hill Road.
Someone isn't happy that we set off without her (claimed we had departed five minutes ahead of time...as if!)
Feeling better now
It's a long slog but eventually we reach the bush, where the real slog begins

A variety of birds were spotted on this walk, photos later.
We hear them and catch a glimpse of them fluttering in the leaves but this is the true picture (thanks Raoul, these are wonderful)
Down Wilson's Road
Checking on the progress aka gradual deterioration of our favourite Triumph Mayflowers
The view across to the Ferry Terminal, the other group should just be heading along there now.
Meanwhile...on the way to Trial Bay
