Green Point

Green Point from Bridgewater

We started from beside the Bridgewater Bridge and headed south to Green Point Reserve.

To begin we passed some old houses beside the river.

Lots of birds were sheltering from the cold wind: swans, coots, cormorants and overhead a sea eagle which flew towards the sun making it unphotographable.

Though actually John captured this photo

We picked up the gravel track which takes us the rest of the way.

Yay!

Mountains all around us, Wellington, Direction and Dromedary

Granton

Until we reached the Jordan River where the track looped around Green Point Reserve and brought us northwards.

Some vegetative life

And back to our starting point by the bridge.

Map
(It seems we did approx. 12500 steps and covered 9km)
